Our Vision

We are a Christian international development organisation based in Australia that raises funds and works with international partners to alleviate poverty and build a brighter future for destitute children in developing countries. We support development initiatives with our implementing partners that focus on the critical needs of destitute children and the communities in which they live. A safe, healthy and nurturing environment is essential to ensure that children and young people integrate into their communities as mature and self-sufficient adults who in turn are able to make a positive contribution to their community.

Our Partners

Implementing partners are selected or developed to help bring about positive change in communities that ensure holistic care for orphaned, abandoned and destitute children is available without regard to gender, social status, ethnic background, political views, or religious affiliation. Our partners proactively work to reduce the incidence of orphaned and abandoned children who live in destitution. Development initiatives lead to increased access of adequate healthcare, primary and high school education, vocational training, and assistance for small business through sustainable livelihoods initiatives like Microfinance.

Our Philosophy

Our World

The needs around our world are immense. One person dies every three seconds from a preventable cause such as TB, malaria, HIV/AIDS or hunger. These are real people - someone’s brother, sister, daughter, son, father, mother, grandparent, uncle or aunt. If we are listening, all of these cry out to us – why won’t someone help? We exist to respond to these calls wherever possible. We has adopted an approach that is somewhat unique. Our focus is split between programs that bring great outcomes under the banners of Child Protection and Sustainable Livelihoods.

While development programs are suited to many types of problems, even child-related problems, it is not possible to bring about change quickly enough for all at-risk children in this way. For example a three-year old orphaned boy cannot look after himself. Even into their teen years, children without family support are at-risk and perhaps even more so if a safe environment is not available to them. Illegal drug traffickers and the sex trade prey on these vulnerable teens. Through our partners, we attempt to fill this gap by providing a range of options for these children and young people.
